Accessibility Engineer
You will test our web and mobile products for accessibility and help engineers and designers resolve the issues you find.
About the role
The work includes accessibility audits, issue triage, design reviews, launch reviews, and guidance based on current accessibility standards.
What you'll do
- Audit web, Android, and Apple-platform experiences with assistive technologies and automated tools.
- Triage accessibility issues by user impact, priority, and the engineering work required to resolve them.
- Review designs and implementations for focus behavior, semantics, component choices, and other accessibility requirements.
- Develop and maintain automated accessibility checks that complement manual testing.
- Review features before release and document clear, actionable remediation guidance.
What we're looking for
- Experience evaluating digital products with screen readers, other assistive technologies, and accessibility testing tools.
- Working knowledge of web and mobile accessibility standards, including WCAG.
- The ability to read or debug code in a language such as JavaScript, Python, or Java.
- Experience explaining technical accessibility findings to engineers, designers, and product partners.
- Clear written judgment about impact, priority, and practical remediation.
Preferred experience
- Experience maintaining accessibility automation at the code level.
- Knowledge of accessibility laws and standards beyond WCAG.
