Android Engineer

About the role

The work covers interface code, networking, local state, testing, performance, security, reliability, and the details of the Android user experience.

What you'll do

• Develop and ship Android features in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Create reusable Android components that support consistent product behavior.
• Improve application performance, stability, security, and responsiveness.
• Strengthen tests and refine application architecture as the product changes.
• Work with product, design, and engineering partners to take features through release.

What we're looking for

• Professional experience shipping production Android applications.
• Strong Kotlin and Jetpack Compose skills and familiarity with the Android SDK and development tools.
• Experience making architectural decisions for a production mobile application.
• A record of improving mobile performance, reliability, security, or user experience.
• Clear communication with engineers, designers, and product partners.

Preferred experience

• Experience with graphics, visual effects, audio, or video on Android.
• Experience contributing to backend code used by a mobile product.
