Application Security Engineer

About the role

The work includes security reviews, threat modeling, code review, testing, vulnerability management, developer guidance, and security tooling.

What you'll do

• Conduct application security assessments, code reviews, and targeted security tests.
• Create threat models and risk assessments and recommend practical mitigations.
• Develop security tools and integrate useful checks into developer workflows.
• Track vulnerabilities, support remediation, and assist with application security incidents.

What we're looking for

• Experience in application security, software security, or secure software development.
• Knowledge of secure coding, common application vulnerabilities, threat modeling, and security testing.
• Programming ability in a general-purpose language and experience automating security work.
• The ability to explain security issues and remediation steps to technical and non-technical partners.

Preferred experience

• Experience with penetration testing, static or dynamic analysis, or software supply-chain security.
