Commercial Counsel

About the role

The role includes contract drafting and negotiation, transaction advice, commercial risk, privacy, regulatory issues, compliance, process design, and cross-functional partnership.

What you'll do

• Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial agreements.
• Advise sales, partnerships, procurement, finance, product, and operations teams on transaction issues.
• Identify commercial, product, privacy, regulatory, and compliance risks and propose practical responses.
• Create templates, guidance, and processes that make recurring legal work consistent and efficient.

What we're looking for

• A JD or equivalent legal qualification and authorization to practice in an applicable jurisdiction.
• Experience in commercial legal work at a technology company or technology-focused law firm.
• Strong contract drafting, negotiation, issue spotting, and business judgment.
• The ability to give clear advice and work effectively with legal and non-legal partners.

Preferred experience

• Experience with software, platform, partnership, procurement, or other technology transactions.
