Data Engineer

About the role

The work includes ingestion, transformation, data modeling, validation, documentation, security, and operational reliability.

What you'll do

• Design, implement, and maintain data pipelines and canonical datasets.
• Add validation, monitoring, and recovery paths that protect data quality and availability.
• Work with data users to define schemas, metrics, access needs, and documentation.
• Improve data security, integrity, lineage, and compliance with applicable standards.

What we're looking for

• Experience developing and operating production data pipelines and data models.
• Strong SQL and proficiency in a programming language used for data engineering.
• Experience with data pipelines, transformation, storage, and quality tooling.
• Careful judgment about correctness, reliability, access, and maintainability.

Preferred experience

• Experience supporting analytics, product, finance, safety, or research data users.
