Software Engineer, Design

About the role

The role spans frontend engineering, rapid prototypes, editing interfaces, user feedback, technical direction, performance, reliability, and collaboration with design and research.

What you'll do

• Build and ship core product surfaces and interactive editing experiences.
• Prototype new concepts, test them with users, and revise them from evidence.
• Set technical direction for complex frontend, collaboration, import, export, and performance work.
• Treat responsiveness, reliability, motion, and visual quality as product requirements.

What we're looking for

• Strong frontend engineering experience with modern web technologies and complex client state.
• A clear design sensibility and close attention to interaction details, motion, and polish.
• Experience making pragmatic technical decisions for new or rapidly changing products.
• The ability to work across frontend, backend, product, and design problems.

Preferred experience

• Experience with visual collaboration tools, editor interfaces, graphics, or real-time applications.
