Developer Productivity Engineer
You will reduce engineering friction through better tools, workflows, automation, and shared development standards.
About the role
The role spans developer research, build and test workflows, internal tools, package and dependency systems, measurement, support, and documentation.
What you'll do
- Study engineering workflows and identify recurring friction, manual effort, and quality problems.
- Develop tools and automation that improve build, test, dependency, and release workflows.
- Measure developer experience and verify whether changes improve speed and quality.
- Support engineering teams and turn recurring problems into durable shared improvements.
What we're looking for
- Software engineering experience developing infrastructure or tools for other engineers.
- Experience with build systems, continuous integration, developer tooling, or shared libraries.
- Strong programming, debugging, measurement, and systems-design skills.
- Empathy for the workflows and frustrations that affect engineering teams.
Preferred experience
- Experience improving developer workflows in a large codebase or multi-language environment.
