Language Data Specialist

About the role

The role includes annotation, transcription, quality review, contextual interpretation, feedback, and consistent treatment of dialect and language variation.

What you'll do

• Create labels, annotations, transcriptions, recordings, and written feedback for language projects.
• Review language examples for accuracy, naturalness, context, and cultural appropriateness.
• Apply project instructions consistently across accents, dialects, and ambiguous examples.
• Work with technical staff to improve tasks, instructions, and annotation tools.

What we're looking for

• Native or professional fluency in a target language and strong English communication.
• Strong comprehension and sensitivity to dialect, accent, phrasing, and cultural context.
• Exceptional attention to detail and consistent judgment on ambiguous material.
• The ability to explain language and quality decisions clearly.

Preferred experience

• Experience in linguistics, translation, transcription, language education, speech data, or annotation.
