macOS Engineer

About the role

The work includes desktop features, native platform integration, performance, memory use, startup time, updates, monitoring, packaging, signing, and distribution.

What you'll do

• Develop and maintain product features for macOS.
• Use native code when a feature needs deeper operating-system integration.
• Improve startup time, memory use, performance, and reliability.
• Maintain dependable update, packaging, code-signing, and distribution workflows.
• Develop monitoring that helps the team understand application performance and user experience.

What we're looking for

• Professional experience developing production desktop applications.
• Experience with macOS technologies and native development patterns.
• Experience with application packaging, code signing, updates, and distribution.
• A record of developing desktop software that is robust, performant, and easy to use.
• Clear communication with engineers, designers, and product partners.

Preferred experience

• Experience with Swift, C++, Rust, or native desktop modules.
• Experience with interprocess communication or desktop application security.
