Observability Engineer
You will create observability tools that help engineers detect, understand, and resolve production problems.
About the role
The role covers metrics, logs, traces, telemetry pipelines, query tools, dashboards, instrumentation, alerting, and observability standards.
What you'll do
- Develop reliable systems for collecting, storing, querying, and presenting telemetry.
- Create APIs, dashboards, and debugging tools that give engineers actionable information.
- Define practical instrumentation, alerting, and reliability standards.
- Work with product and infrastructure teams to improve diagnosis and incident response.
What we're looking for
- Experience developing or operating production observability, telemetry, or monitoring systems.
- Strong systems programming and production-debugging skills.
- Knowledge of metrics, logging, tracing, alerting, and time-series data.
- A product mindset for internal tools and the engineers who use them.
Preferred experience
- Experience with open observability standards or large telemetry pipelines.
