Privacy Counsel
You will interpret privacy requirements and help teams make legally sound product and business decisions.
About the role
The role covers privacy and data-protection law, compliance programs, product advice, risk assessment, policies, regulatory engagement, disclosures, investigations, and cross-functional work.
What you'll do
- Interpret privacy laws and other obligations for product, engineering, compliance, and business teams.
- Advise on privacy programs, policies, controls, and product decisions that reduce legal risk.
- Support discussions, negotiations, and disclosures with regulators and data-protection authorities.
- Track legal developments and translate them into clear requirements and practical guidance.
What we're looking for
- A JD or equivalent legal qualification and authorization to practice in an applicable jurisdiction.
- Experience advising on privacy, data-protection, regulatory, or corporate-compliance matters.
- The ability to understand complex technical issues and work closely with product and engineering teams.
- Excellent legal writing, communication, investigation, project-management, and attention-to-detail skills.
Preferred experience
- Experience developing or evaluating privacy compliance programs for technology products.
