About the role
The role covers data inventory, classification, access, retention, deletion, permitted use, auditability, and lifecycle automation.
What you'll do
- Develop technical controls for data access, retention, deletion, permitted use, and auditing.
- Improve inventories and records of data ownership, classification, lineage, and policy applicability.
- Translate legal, policy, security, and product requirements into clear engineering standards.
- Measure control effectiveness and support exceptions, incidents, and continuous improvement.
What we're looking for
- Software engineering experience in privacy, data governance, security, or data infrastructure.
- Experience implementing access, deletion, retention, classification, or data-use controls.
- The ability to turn ambiguous policy and legal requirements into measurable technical work.
- Strong cross-functional communication with product, legal, security, data, and engineering teams.
Preferred experience
- Experience operating high-trust data governance or privacy controls in production.
