Product Security Engineer
You will help product teams identify security risks early and resolve them with practical engineering changes.
About the role
The work includes design reviews, threat modeling, security testing, vulnerability research, hardening, developer guidance, and risk reduction.
What you'll do
- Review product designs and software changes for security risks and safer defaults.
- Perform threat modeling, security assessments, and targeted vulnerability research.
- Develop tests, tools, and mitigations that reduce recurring product security risks.
- Guide engineers through remediation and verify that fixes address the underlying issue.
What we're looking for
- Experience in product security, application security, software security, or security engineering.
- Experience with security design reviews, threat modeling, vulnerability management, and testing.
- Strong coding skills in at least one general-purpose language.
- The judgment to prioritize risk and communicate actionable guidance to engineering teams.
Preferred experience
- Experience with security research, fuzzing, static analysis, or secure protocol design.
