Search Engineer
You will improve search quality through indexing, retrieval, ranking, evaluation, and reliable software.

The work includes search relevance, indexing, query processing, ranking methods, evaluation, performance, observability, and production reliability.
What you'll do
- Develop and improve indexing, retrieval, query, and ranking software.
- Create evaluations and measurements for relevance, usefulness, and failure cases.
- Improve search performance, reliability, monitoring, and operational diagnosis.
- Work with research and product partners to turn search improvements into user value.
What we're looking for
- Experience developing production search, retrieval, indexing, or ranking systems.
- Strong software engineering and quantitative evaluation skills.
- Experience with search relevance, ranking methods, or information retrieval.
- The ability to diagnose quality and reliability problems from evidence.
Preferred experience
- Experience with learned ranking, embedding-based retrieval, or large search products.
